Most
of the silver dollars we see are of either the Morgan or Peace
type. Morgan Dollars were made from 1878 to 1904 and again
in 1921, and were made at the Carson City, Philadelphia, San
Francisco and New Orleans mint. You can identify which mint
produced the coin from the mintmark located on the reverse
of the coin. Philadelphia mint coins have no mint mark as
that is the main mint.

The most common dates of Morgan Dollars dated between 1878
and 1904 dollars are worth between $8 to $17 depending on
condition. Better dates can be worth more money if they are
in mid to high grade condition, coins that are well circulated
or have been cleaned or damaged in anyway typically bring
common money. Key dates are those coins that are just worth
more regardless of condition (coins with holes drilled in
them or that are bent are not keys).

Morgan Dollars made in 1921 are worth $6-$10 each in most
cases. Peace dollars made from 1921 to 1935 are generally
worth $6-$10 each. Of course there are many factors in evaluating
dollars. If you have a large quantity or a collection of them
there is a good chance you have something more valuable. IT
